Registration for Southern Ohio Forest Rally is Now Open

Chillicothe, Ohio (March 1, 2019)

Officials from the Southern Ohio Forest Rally (SOFR) announced today that registration for the 2019 event is now open. The popular rally, scheduled for May 16-18, will run an early registration period from now until April 1st.

SOFR is the reincarnation of a fan and driver favorite SCCA Pro Rally event that ran from 1973 to 1996. The revived rally took the North American stage rally scene by storm in 2017 and has been one of the most popular events in America since then. Based in Chillicothe, Ohio near the city of Columbus, SOFR is known for its great location and smooth twisting gravel stage roads. A favorite for spectators too, 2019 will see the resurrection of the famous “City Park” stage.

The rally will operate as the inaugural ARA Super Regional event; a new event classification that is not a national championship stop, but optionally awards roughly 50% national championship points. That will make SOFR an ideal round for East Coast and Midwest competitors looking for a shorter tow during the West Coast swing of the national championship.

Early registration for SOFR will run from now until April 1. Signing up to compete during the early entry period will give competitors a 20% discount. The entry fee will then be set to its regular amount from April 1 to May 1. Any competitors who sign up after May 1 will be subject to late entry costs.

Direct event registration for competitors can be found here. But you’ll need a 2019 ARA license before you sign up, those can be found here. And don't forget to read the Supps for SOFR before you show up to recce, they can be found here.
