(Speedway, Ind. Nov. 14, 2024) ~ The American Rally Association (ARA)—the largest rally series in the United States and the country’s only national championship for the sport of stage rally—today announced its 2025 schedule, featuring the eight-event ARA National Championship, as well as stand-alone Regional and Super Regional events that make up the East, Central, and West Regional Championships.
“The ARA schedules have never been announced in their entirety this early in the year,” said Preston Osborn, ARA Series Manager. “It’s a testament to the strength of our events and the hard work of the event organizers across the country that we are able to confirm so early all of our dates for next year. And, of course, that speaks volumes to the growth the sport of stage rally is now experiencing in the U.S.”
The 2025 ARA National Championship kicks off in traditional form at Sno*Drift Rally in Atlanta, Michigan February7th and 8th. Sno*Drift is one of the most challenging rallies in the world for drivers, co-drivers and teams, standing out as the only snow and ice rally that doesn’t allow studded tires.
From Michigan, the championship heads to the Ozarks for the fast and flowing forest roads of Salem and Potosi, Missouri for the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood. As the first gravel rally of the calendar, 100 Acre Wood always attracts a large entry list, and an larger crowd of rally fans and volunteers.
From the forests of Missouri to the forests of Washington, the third stop of the 2025 ARA National Championship is the world-famous Olympus Rally on April 12th and 13th. As a former World Rally Championship (WRC) round, Olympus is well-known for having the tightest and trickiest mountain stages on the calendar, and the often wet weather can make conditions extra challenging.
Continuing the West Coast tour, the Oregon Trail Rally on May 16th through 18th brings teams to the beautiful rolling hills of Goldendale, Washington, and Dufur, Oregon. Known for high speeds and huge elevation changes, the Oregon Trail Rally is a time-honored tradition on the ARA calendar.
Passing the halfway point of the season, round five of the 2025 ARA National Championship takes competitors to the Southern Ohio Forest Rally from June 12th through 14th. Portsmouth, Ohio hides some of the best rally roads on the continent, with multi-time champion rally driver John Buffum once naming them as America’s best.
Heading north to Minnesota, round six of the championship takes teams to the land of 10,000 Lakes for the Ojibwe Forests Rally from August 21st through the 23rd. The stages of Ojibwe weave competitors through forests and lakes alike as they fight for grip on the sand-based roads.
The penultimate round of the championship will be the second running of Overmountain Rally Tennessee on September 20th and 21st. After a successful debut in the National Championship in 2024, fans and competitors alike are excited to return to Appalachia for ARA rally action.
Finally, the Lake Superior Performance Rally once again closes out the ARA National Championship as the autumn colors of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan serve as the backdrop to the oldest, toughest rally on the calendar on October 17th and 18th.
In addition to the eight-event ARA National Championship, many favorite regional events return in 2025 including, but not limited to, the Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally and Boone Forest Rally in the East Region, Headwaters Rally and Show-Me Rally in the Central Region, and Rally Colorado and Tour de Forest in the West Region.
The Central and West championships start next month on December 7th with Ridge Rally in California and Nemadji Rally in Minnesota.
The ARA will also be sanctioning several RallySprint events in 2025, including a series held at Rally Ready Driving School in Austin, Texas.
