Speedway, Ind. ~ American Rally Association announces 21 events on full schedule for 2024.
The ARA Regional Championships are split into three regions: East, Central and West. The regional titles will be contested over all 21 events, including four stand-alone Super Regionals and nine basic Regionals.
The 6 round ARA Eastern Regional Championship sees many changes in 2024! It all kicks off in the snow of Atlanta, MI at the Sno*Drift Rally where traction is key to get a jump on championship points. We then head to Chillicothe, OH for SOFR and its action-packed stages that test the endurance of drivers and crew alike. There is a return to Summer for STPR as they move their date back to June in beautiful Wellsboro, PA. Boone Forest Rally will be back strong in McKee, KY as a new Super Regional hoping to draw an even larger field with all new roads for 2024. New England Forest Rally is on the calendar for a late July – early August Regional event headquartered in a new town. The Eastern Championship culminates at our newest National Event, Overmountain Rally Tennessee, on the tight and twisty roads outside Johnson City, TN.
The ARA Central Regional Championship will host seven events in 2024. There are three Super Regional events tied to ARA Nationals on the schedule; Rally in the 100 Acre Wood in Salem, MO sees large fields and is a must for starting your year strong, Ojibwe Forests Rally returns to Pioneer Farms in August in the land of 10,000 lakes, and the Lake Superior Performance Rally takes in all the fall colors of the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan in October with a fan favorite event. Stand-alone Regional events feature a start in Minnesota for the Headwaters Rally in May and the Missouri Ozark Rally on it’s new date in mid-July. Show Me Rally completes the Central season as a Super Regional and rounds out with a final Missouri swing. Nemadji Trail, which took place on December 2, 2023, points count towards the 2024 championship, and their event on December 7, 2024 will count towards the 2025 regional championship.
The ARA Western Regional Championship expands to an eight race season. The Ridge Rally, held on December 2, 2023, saw a huge regional field bringing rally back strong in Los Angeles. Their 2024 event will be December 7th with points counting toward the 2025 championship. March sees the return of the Wild West Rally in Raymond, WA as a one-day Regional on stages that are old favorites. The next two are Super Regionals starting in the forested roads of the Olympic Peninsula at the Olympus Rally in April near Shelton, WA. We then move South to the only speedway on our schedule for a super-special at Portland International Raceway followed by two days on the scenic roads around the Columbia River Gorge. Rally Colorado is back as a Super Regional in Rangely, CO with driver favorite roads on the high-plains of the mountain state. We then return to the red rocks of Arizona for the Prescott Rally in September and the historically strong rally community of the SouthWest. After a swing through the drier regions we circle back to the greenery of Washington for Tour de Forest rally and it's sell-out entries. Our final event is the return of the much-loved Mike Nagle Rally in November.
