USAC STATEMENT REGARDING POSTPONEMENT OF RACES
Speedway, Indiana (March 17, 2020) ~ Given the uncertainty and ever-changing situation of the coronavirus pandemic in our country, the USAC management team is working cohesively with race promoters and track operators for races scheduled over the next 30 days. Decisions on each race will be made according to local, state and federal mandates that ensure the safety of all our fans and teams.
After much discussion, the Olympus Rally scheduled to be held April 25-26 in Washington will be postponed. Organizers from the event and the ARA are looking at a possible new dates, both in the near future and later on the 2020 calendar.
We highly recommend that all USAC-sanctioned events adhere to the restrictions placed by local, state, and federal authorities, along with making every effort to follow guidelines and recommendations to help our fans, volunteers, officials and competitors stay safe and healthy.
These are unprecedented times that we are all facing. We want to race just as much as anyone, but it will take us all working together to get back on track. As we move forward, USAC will continue to provide timely updates on all of our social media channels, as well as the website.
